UK Sourcers News – 2nd July 2012

UK Sourcing News

If you don’t already keep an eye on the content produced by Shane McCusker of 1ntelligence, then you should. He keeps a blog and runs regular webinars. You might be particularly interested in the recording and write up of his Webinar on Advanced Sourcing from 21st June.

The UK is about to get its first dedicated Sourcing Conference! It’s all thanks to Martin Lee of Talentworks and the good folks at Monster UK. I will be speaking along with other UK experts at The Talent Sourcing Conference in London on 23rd August 2012. You should bag a ticket fast, before they are all gone.

We also have a new recruitment blogger on the block in the UK. Please welcome Claire Falconbridge of DB Consulting with her blog “Recruiter Claire”.

Social Media News

LinkedIn and Twitter end their partnership. This means you will no longer be seeing Tweets in your LinkedIn updates stream (that can only be a good thing, right?). You will still have the ability to send your LinkedIn updates to Twitter though – remember to be careful when doing this.

Events

Last week was the third Social Recruiting Conference in London. If you missed out on attending or watching the live stream, or didn’t see all the Tweets produced by the attendees, then watch this space for future links to some video content from the day. If you’d like to follow the speakers and sponsors from #SRConf you can find them all on this Twitter list.
