Karen Blakeman – Speaker Profile
Karen Blakeman provides training and advice on how to use the web and social media as research tools, and on how to identify and assess the quality of resources. She is also a regular speaker at seminars and conferences.
Past and present clients include public and corporate libraries, information providers, investment and financial services, organisations in the food and beverage industry, pharmaceutical companies, research and professional associations and UK government departments.
Karen edits and publishes an electronic newsletter called Tales from the Terminal Room (www.rba.co.uk/tfttr) and her blog can be found at www.rba.co.uk/wordpress. She is an Honorary Fellow of CILIP (The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals). In 2002 she received the Information World Review Information Professional of the Year award.
